Winter is here, and with it comes the perfect excuse to cozy up indoors and relax. With so many options, how do you choose the best candle scents to set the mood for the season? Here are The Wick Bitch's Top 8 for winter scents. Grab your favorite blanket, light up a candle, and let's dive in!
1. Cinnamon
What better way to embrace the winter season than with the spicy aroma of cinnamon? This classic scent is a perfect blend of cozy, sweet & spicy. Think freshly baked cinnamon rolls. It's like a hug for your senses! Cinnamon and cinnamon blends are among my favorite candles to make and also, candle wise, happen to make the perfect winter gift for that special someone.
2. Balsam Fir
Bring the essence of the winter forest into your home with the invigorating scent of balsam fir. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and imagine yourself strolling through a snow-covered forest, surrounded by majestic evergreen trees.. without actually having to. I don't know about you, but the 15 degree weather here in New Jersey lately is NOT it. It's like a mini vacation without leaving your living room!
3. Vanilla
Vanilla is a timeless scent that never fails to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Its creamy, sweet aroma will make you feel like you're wrapped in a cozy blanket, sipping a cup of hot cocoa by the fireplace. It's the perfect scent for those lazy winter evenings! We love a lazy night in.
4. Honey Vanilla
If you're looking for a twist on the classic vanilla scent, honey vanilla is the way to go. This combo adds a touch of sweetness and depth to the fragrance. While I do love the classic vanilla, vanilla never seems complete without a touch of honey.
5. Gingerbread
Gingerbread cookies? Yes, please. The warm, spicy notes of ginger, cinnamon, and molasses incorporate the nostalgia of the holiday season and fresh gingerbread cookies right out of the oven.
6. Sandalwood
If you're in need of a little relaxation and tranquility this winter, look no further than sandalwood. This woody, earthy scent will create a serene ambiance, helping you unwind after a long day. Sandalwood is the scent you want when you're staying IN with that special someone we talked about earlier.
7. Frankincense
Not just for a wise man! Light a candle with the mystical scent of frankincense. This ancient fragrance has been used for centuries in spiritual rituals, and has a rich, resinous aroma. I do warn this scent is not for everyone as Frankincense carries a more musky scent in contrast to my other fragrances. Personally, I need to be in the mood for it. This candle, especially combined with Myrrh, is a great scent for the men.
8. Apple Cinnamon.
Last but not least, we have the irresistible combination of apple and cinnamon. The sweet, juicy scent of apples perfectly complements the warm, spicy notes of cinnamon, creating a heavenly fragrance that will make your mouth water. Think apple pie!
Go ahead, light up a candle, and let the magic of winter fill your home without actually having to go outside and experience it. It's the best way, in my opinion.
